David D’Angelo is a multi-instrumentalist (piano/guitar/bass), producer, songwriter, composer, performing artist and DJ. His first love is piano, which he has been playing since age 7 and teaching for 15 years now, including over 5 years with MMS! David has been recording his original music since middle school, and always knew he wanted to make music his career.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Industry Studies from Loyola University New Orleans. While completing his degree he taught beat making, recording, and piano at a local non-profit Upbeat Academy. His passion for music and love for piano continues to fuel his own musical endeavors, while fostering musical growth through teaching and supporting others.

David is dedicated to creating music that speaks on positive messages, and connecting that music to an audience worldwide. He has performed internationally and alongside noteworthy acts such as FKJ and Grammy Award nominated trumpeter and producer Christian Scott, and in clubs from New Orleans to New Zealand.

His debut EP "Born in Paradise" was played on over 50 college radio stations across the US and Canada, made it onto the NACC Top 5 Electronic Charts and NACC Top 200, charting at #4 and #192 respectively. David has produced records for major label Hip-Hop artist Curren$y, as well as a multitude of indie artists. David's most recent release “In My Own World” tells stories of life during the pandemic, and witnessing the effects of climate change on his surrounding environments. This project’s lead singles garnered David over 100K plays on Spotify and over 50K views on Youtube, and he is currently planning for more releases in 2025 and beyond. 

David is available to work with students of all skill levels and interests. He specializes in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Pop, Funk, Blues & Neo Soul, however he can also support students who want to focus on classical training. David believes that music gives us a purpose and he is excited to share his knowledge and passion with the students of MMS!
