Littles lessons are music lessons for our youngest beginners ages 3-6. They are exciting, adventurous, and creative. Littles lessons at MMS are all about FUN and promote slow and steady progress through a healthy exploration of rhythm, sound, and play.
Our exclusive online music lessons for kids curriculum includes:
Rhythm/percussion
Echo songs
Clapping, dancing, singing
Ear training/imitation
Creativity & play
Lessons for this age are more geared towards overall music. There is some time spent at the piano, but not all of the time. At this age, it’s more important for students to begin internalizing and feeling the music.
Children learn to read music, develop outstanding technique, and understand music theory. They also learn to be creative from the very beginning. They learn chords, they learn to sing along, and they learn to feel rhythm within their bodies by playing drums and other percussion instruments. These lessons are interactive and fast paced in order to keep our Littles’ attentions.
Pulling from the music that our students love and are inspired by helps to keep students interested and excited. Students leave MMS each week with a smile on their face and plenty of instruction for practice between lessons. They also have the opportunity to share their talents at any of our many performance events throughout the year.
